[m4]特斯拉带回“疯狂麦克斯”“完全自动驾驶”模式,忽略速度限制 - [合并4] Tesla brings back ‘Mad Max’ ‘Full Self...
Tesla has brought back its ‘Mad Max’ mode for its ‘Full Self-Driving (Supervised) that ignores speed limits amid several regulatory investigations into Tesla’s system being dangerous. Between wrongful death lawsuits from customers and pressure from regulators, including the California DMV and NHTSA, one would think that Tesla would be more careful about its communications regarding its advanced driver assist systems. But no. On the contrary, Tesla is bringing back the controversially named “Mad Max” mode in its Full Self-Driving (Supervised), a level 2 advanced driver assistance system that Tesla claims will become level 4 fully autonomous in the near future – something it claimed every year for the last 7 years. Last week, Tesla released its FSD v14 update, the first significant update in a year, and it included a new mode: Sloth Mode, which drives slower. Now, Tesla has pushed another update, FSD v14.1.2, which adds another mode on the other end of the spectrum: Mad Max. The automaker wrote in the release notes: Introduced new speed profile MAD MAX, which comes with higher speeds and more frequent lane changes than HURRY. It’s not the first time Tesla has introduced this mode, whose name is borrowed from the popular series of post-apocalyptic movies, in which people are known for driving aggressively. The Mad Max mode was first introduced in the early days of Tesla Autopilot, the precursor to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD), back in 2018. At the time, CEO Elon Musk presented the feature as being more aggressive in doing lane changes and navigating more challenging traffic situations. He specifically mentioned Los Angeles. The new Mad Max mode in Tesla FSD is marketed similarly. It hasn’t been out for 24 hours, and it has already been spotted rolling stop signs and driving more than 15 mph (24 km/h) over the speed limit. Electrek’s Take Tesla loves to play with fire. Top comment by Person Tesla may not take responsibility for its systems, but juries are starting to...

攀登乞力马扎罗山的父女如何塑造了他们的生活 - How a Father-Daughter Trek up Mount Kilimanjaro Shaped a...
All products and listings featured on Condé Nast Traveler are independently selected by our editors. However, we may receive compensation from retailers and/or from purchases of products through these links. It was after midnight on the icy slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. A frigid wind sliced across my cheeks as I tightened the drawstrings of my parka. A sliver of moon hung above a sweep of cloud so far below us that it felt as if we were looking down from space. My dad trudged a few paces ahead, his breath visible in the cold. We were on the final stretch to the summit and feeling every bit of the more than 19,000 feet we'd climbed. At 16, I wasn't yet sure of much, but I knew I wanted to be there climbing that mountain with him, despite the blisters on my feet and the altitude headache. Ascending Kilimanjaro is like hiking through an entire continent's worth of ecosystems. We started in the cultivation zone, winding past villages where crops thrived in rich volcanic soil, then entered lush, humid rainforest alive with birdsong. Higher up, the landscape shifted to moorland, with giant heather shrubs rising like sculptures against an endless sky. In camp, my dad and I would sit shoulder to shoulder as our steadfast porters ladled out steaming bowls of hearty soup. Afterward, I'd pull out my Walkman and its single worn tape and share one headphone with a porter, trading music from home for their stories of life on the mountain. At night, bone-tired and tucked into our tiny tent, my father and I drifted off while listening to the wind race across the slope. The trip was born out of a simple idea of my dad's: When each of his kids turned 16, we could choose anywhere around the globe to go, just the two of us. It was his way of giving us the world, or at least opening the door to it. He'd spent his own childhood in a humble lakeside port town in Michigan, where summer meant swimming in Lake Huron and playing tennis on cracked public courts. Family vacations were road trips...

终极狩猎旅行装箱单:每次狩猎的装备 - The Ultimate Hunting Trip Packing Lists: Gear for Every Hunt
Hunters are notorious for forgetting things. Sometimes it’s small, like leaving your gloves in the truck on a frosty morning. Other times, it’s big, like realizing your ammo is still sitting on the kitchen counter 300 miles away. I’ve seen archery elk hunters get a few miles into the hike before they realize they don’t have their release. It was me. I was that elk hunter. Either way, it can turn a good hunt into a disaster before the first shot is fired. The truth is, most of us are either chronic overpackers or underpackers. We bring five knives but forget toilet paper. We pack three pairs of boots and leave our tags on the fridge. The sweet spot is somewhere in between, and that’s what this guide is here to nail down. This guide breaks it all down. You’ll get a general hunting trip packing list that covers the essentials for every outing, and then specific lists for everything from western elk to spring turkeys. We even included a printable version of the General Hunt Packing List. Packing Lists General Hunt Trip Master Packing List Every hunt starts with the same basics. Forget one of these and you’ll either be turning around halfway to camp or making do with some miserable improvisation. This is the gear that belongs on every trip, no matter if you’re chasing elk in September, whitetails in November, or ducks in December. Think of it as the bare-minimum kit that keeps you hunting instead of swearing at yourself. Licenses & Documents - Hunting license and tags - Phone and a way to charge it (for digital tags) - Hunter safety card (if required) - ID and wallet - Updated Mapping Software with offline maps downloaded (onX, HuntStand, etc.) Weapons Rifle - Rifle (sighted in and cleaned) - Sling - Ammunition (extra rounds in waterproof storage) - Magazines (if applicable) - Scope covers or caps - Small cleaning kit or bore snake Shotgun - Shotgun (cleaned and patterned) - Sling (if applicable) - Shells (correct size and load for game) - Choke tubes and wrench - Plug (...

不留痕迹地探索北海岸 - Exploring the Côte-Nord without leaving a trace
Vanlife on the Côte-Nord: tips for a responsible, trackless road trip. As many of you know, Karo and I have long been in love with the Côte-Nord. We love getting lost there to better find ourselves again. With its breathtaking coastal landscapes, welcoming villages, and untouched nature, the Côte-Nord is one of Quebec’s top road trip destinations this summer. From Tadoussac/Sacré-Coeur to Kegaska, passing through Fermont and Blanc-Sablon, this region offers golden sandy beaches, mighty rivers, and whales swimming along the shoreline—a truly unique experience for vanlife. To keep the Côte-Nord the warm and authentic place it is, it’s essential to visit ethically, respecting the land, the people, and the natural surroundings. Before you hit the road, here’s a quick reminder of some fundamental principles to follow for a memorable—and respectful—road trip. (Don’t worry, it’s not rocket science.) Sleep where it’s allowed The Côte-Nord is full of wild spaces, but not all are accessible—or suitable—for vanlife. It’s crucial not to camp just anywhere. A shoreline might seem like the perfect morning view, but remember the impact of 1,001 vans doing the same. Erosion happens fast, and with it, natural beauty disappears. Whether it’s for the biodiversity or the locals, let’s keep the Côte-Nord as wild and wonderful as it is. Thankfully, many municipalities are happy to welcome our community—let’s thank them by using designated spaces! Choose approved areas like campgrounds, RV stops, and community welcome zones. Use trusted platforms to find out where overnight stays are permitted—you’ll uncover some amazing spots and simplify your sleep logistics (win-win!). This not only helps protect fragile ecosystems and maintain good relations with locals, but also prevents surprises—like waking up with your feet in the water thanks to the tide (yes, it happens!). Leave No Trace The Côte-Nord is stunning—and deserves to stay that way. Always follow Leave No Trace principles. It can’t be...

为什么 Vanlife 会改变你的约会方式 - Why vanlife changes how you date
Life on wheels strips everything down to what matters. Space is limited, routines are flexible, and you plan days around daylight, weather, and road conditions. That same simplicity translates beautifully to dating. You start with clarity about time windows, preferred neighborhoods, and the kind of energy you want to share. You also learn to avoid friction. Instead of marathon dinners across town, you pick short, well lit meetups near where you are parked or working for the day. You signal respect by showing up on time, confirming plans the morning of, and keeping logistics light. That rhythm feels refreshing for people who have full lives, jobs, and commitments and who do not want to negotiate for hours just to grab a coffee. Vanlife also nudges you toward presence. A sunrise brew on a tailgate, a half hour gallery stop between errands, or a slow walk through a weekend market creates pockets of real conversation without the performative edge of nightlife. Because you already travel light, you naturally emphasize reliability, safety, and consent. You set boundaries early, you make plans that are easy to start and easy to end, and you let the moment breathe. If chemistry is there, you plan a second chapter; if it is not, you exit politely and keep rolling. That adult tone turns first meetings into comfortable check ins, removes pressure from both sides, and helps you notice people who match your pace and values. Where road trippers actually meet people Think daytime, not just nightlife. Coffee windows after school drop off, farmers markets, library workshops, and neighborhood volunteer days invite friendly conversation with zero club noise. Climbing gyms with childcare, pottery studios, and cooking classes offer built in topics. Remote workers can try a coworking day pass and become a familiar face for a few mornings. If you will be in town all week, pick one café, one park loop, and one evening event, and return to them. Regulars recognize regulars, and that continu...

雪地驾驶的 6 个技巧 - 6 Tips for Driving in the Snow
Seasonal travel can be challenging if your vehicle isn’t ready for winter snow. You’ll likely run into all kinds of weather during all the seasons. Whether you’ve driven in snow before or not, it is always a good thing to know, especially if you plan on traveling year-round. Part of this has to do with knowledge of physically controlling a vehicle in this type of weather, but it’s also important to be prepared with the proper gear. These are the 6 tips we recommend for driving in the snow. Invest in traction mats Tractions mats are an accessory that isn’t 100% necessary, but will make a difference in a time of need. The mats work in mud, snow, and sand. They have raised tracks to prevent tires from spinning constantly. The tires then grip the mat and pull the vehicle out of whatever jam they are. These have gotten me out of more than one rough situation! Carry a quality pair of chains (and know how to use them) I’ve carried snow chains in my Sprinter for 4 years now and honestly, I’ve never had to use them. However, there are many areas that require you to carry them in your vehicle or may even require you to use them. While I usually avoid conditions that are bad enough to require chains, I feel substantially safer knowing that I have them if I need them. If you don’t have experience putting chains on a vehicle, I recommend quick fit chains. They essentially just snap on and tighten as you drive. Super easy! Keep a portable jump starter in the trunk Nobody wants to ever think that they could possibly get stuck. But the reality is, it’s definitely possible when you’re traveling in this kind of weather. This is especially important if you are camping overnight! Maybe your car won’t start because it’s too cold, or due to something else. But carrying a portable jump starter in your car is always a smart move. Always ‘turn in’ to a slide-out It’s easy to begin panicking if your vehicle starts to slip and slide in the snow or ice. However, it’s extremely important for yo...

1975 年绊倒:一次爱上一个国家 - Tripping 1975: Falling in Love One Country at a Time
Marshall and Debbie Hockett tell the story of Tripping 1975. This is the story of a young couple on their year-long adventures through Europe in 1975 and finding their passion for travel and each other. Please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your story. How did you get involved in vanlife? We are Marshall and Deborah Hockett. Marshall studied for one year at Stanford University in Britain many years ago. He took trips around Europe on days off to explore the continent and to say he loved it would be an understatement. When he returned to the states, he vowed that he would save up the money required for him to go back and see Europe alone and at a leisurely pace. Then he and I started dating (he was a young attorney, and I was a court clerk). We clicked, and that was the start of a beautiful relationship that has lasted over forty years. Our mutual attraction posed a conundrum for Marshall. He did not want to go to Europe for a whole year and leave me–yay! One day out of the blue, he asked me if I wanted to come along. After waiting for about three seconds, I said “YES!” That required us to postpone the trip for a year and save twice as much money and to also think of ways to save money on the trip. A van seemed like an obvious winner for us. We ordered a new yellow VW pop-top van which we picked up in Luxembourg. We dubbed her “The Banana”. You spent many years traveling together in a Volkswagen van. Can you try to explain what this kind of travel as a couple in a small space is like? We knew that living in a van for a whole year would test our relationship. Some of the drawbacks were: - Sharing a tiny space with each other - Learning to cook in the van’s minuscule “kitchen” - Having no toilet in the van - Trying to be a competent map-reader (this was pre-GPS) - Very infrequently experiencing campgrounds with inferior standards Some of the good things: - Not having to go to work - Meeting many helpful, good people - Finding lots of beautifully-appointed c...

我在美国最喜欢参观的 31 个地方 - My 31 Favorite Places to Visit in the USA
From sea to shining sea, the United States is a very diverse country – both when it comes to culture and natural beauty. I’ve traveled across the continental United States many times over (you never really realize how big Texas is until you drive through it. Damn that state is big!). I think, just on my roadtrips alone, I’ve spent a collective two years exploring the country. That’s a lot of time and doesn’t even take into account that visit to Portland or Nashville or weekend in Savannah. In short, I’ve seen a lot of this country. And there is a lot worth seeing. All these places are near and dear to my heart and really showcase just how special this country is and how many wonderful places there are here. (It took me awhile to narrow down this list!) In no particular order, here’s my detailed list of the best places to visit in the USA: (Note: This list is based only on where I myself have been. There are a lot more breathtaking places I haven’t explored yet, which is why they may not be on this list. It doesn’t mean they aren’t worth seeing. It just means I haven’t been there.) Table of Contents - 1. Memphis - 2. Austin - 3. New Orleans - 4. Asheville - 5. The Pacific Coastal Drive - 6. Redwood National Park - 7. Glacier National Park - 8. Denver - 9. Chicago - 10. New York City - 11. Natchez - 12. Savannah - 13. The Grand Canyon - 14. Nashville - 15. San Francisco - 16. Miami - 17. San Diego - 19. Lake Tahoe - 20. Anywhere in Montana - 21. Washington D.C. - 22. Cape Cod - 23. Boston - 24. Las Vegas - 25. Portland - 26. Seattle - 27. Deadwood - 28. Kansas City - 29. Louisville - 30. Charleston - 31. Franklin 1. Memphis Gritty, industrial, and a bit run down, Memphis appears like its best days are behind it, but don’t let the rough exterior fool you — the city is still home to some killer food and a vibrant blues music scene. Additionally, there’s Graceland (Elvis’s home) for fans of the King, a big waterfront for walking, and the phenomenal, detailed, and moving ...

玄武岩镇议会表示愿意开放城镇<b>ADU</b>法规 - 阿斯彭时报 - Basalt Town Council signals willingness to ...
Basalt Town Council signals willingness to open up ADU regulations for town Town Council votes unanimously in favor of framework for accessory-dwelling unit policies, favor six month leases for seasonal workers Over the course of two town of Basalt Town Council meetings, councilors signaled a willingness to develop policies in Basalt that would open up the town for potential development of accessory-dwelling units, or ADUs, on some properties in town. ADUs have been approached across the state and nation as a relatively low-cost way to create new housing and increase density in town limits. Currently, ADUs are prohibited across Basalt, except for some small special districts. “When you look at that as a percent of the total land area of the community, it’s only about 7.1%,” Eric Krohngold, senior associate with Design Workshop, said of where ADUs are permitted at the Sept. 23 Basalt Town Council meeting. Design Workshop has been working with Basalt to develop the ADU Incentive framework. Councilors met and discussed the resolution again on Oct. 14 before unanimously approving the program. While that does not mean that ADUs will be permitted across Basalt in the short-term, the framework directs staff to explore how such a policy could work in the town. The actual policy implementation remains to be created. “Because the presentation was fairly lengthy about the concepts, we didn’t have a chance to have a resolution supporting those concepts,” Michelle Thibeault, planning director for Basalt, said at the Oct. 14 meeting. “We wanted to give you time to kind of think through all of the ideas there. This is coming back and saying that you want us to go forward and work through the details of how to make these things happen now.” ADUs can come in a variety of forms, as the councilors discussed in their first meeting on the subject. They can be attached, so-called “mother-in-law units,” garden-level, basement units, or above the garage-type units that have a significantly...

MyJoyOnline published: Oct 16, 2025 The Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine, has withdrawn all charges against one of the co-accused persons in the ongoing criminal case involving the former Director General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu-Boahene, after she agreed to testify for the prosecution. According to a notice filed at the High Court in Accra on October 15, 2025, Mildred Donkor, the 3rd accused person, has been discharged from prosecution under Section 59 of the Criminal and Other Offences (Procedure) Act, 1960 (Act 30). The document, signed by the Deputy Attorney General, Dr Justice Srem-Sai, stated that Ms Donkor is being withdrawn from prosecution in respect of all charges brought against her. She is expected to appear as a prosecution witness in the ongoing trial against Mr Adu-Boahene (1st Accused), Angela Adjei Boateng (2nd Accused), and Advantage Solutions Limited (4th Accused). In her witness statement, Ms Donkor detailed her long working relationship with Mr Adu-Boahene and Madam Adjei Boateng, whom she described as acquaintances she met through the Cedar Mountain Assemblies of God Church in East Legon, Accra. According to her, she became a director of Advantage Solutions Limited at the request of Mr Adu-Boahene (A1), who needed a second director to meet registration requirements. Ms Donkor said that although she was listed as a director, she had no decision-making power and only acted on instructions from Mr Adu-Boahene and Madam Adjei Boateng (A2). “I took no major decisions – whether financial, operational or strategic – on my own. I followed the instructions of A1 and ...

梅森市议会讨论增加住宅单元 - KIOW - Mason City Council Discusses Additional Dwelling Units - ...
The Mason City Council was tasked recently with an issue of additional dwelling units with current principal residences. Current state statues allow for secondary dwellings on properties with a primary residence. The construction of a secondary dwelling would require several exceptions according to the Mason City Planning and Zoning Commissions Steven Schurtz. Audio PlayerThe city originally had some restrictions in place, but now through the state legislation, that may change. The idea of additional dwelling units or ADU’s has gained a foot hold in areas outside of Iowa, but like many trends, it finds its way into the Midwest. Audio PlayerMany on the council were wary about the idea but passed the first reading of the measure. There remain two more readings for the council to consider in future meetings.
