这个电子墨水时钟在纸条上打印财富和笑话 - This E Ink Clock Prints Fortunes and Jokes on Paper Slips
Time usually passes without much fanfare. Numbers flip on your phone screen, the day blurs from morning coffee to evening TV, and most minutes feel interchangeable. Clocks are background objects, functional but forgettable, doing nothing more than reminding you how late you’re running. There’s no ceremony to checking the time, no surprise waiting when you glance at the display. It’s just numbers counting down to whatever you’re supposed to do next. Houracle by True Angle approaches this differently. Instead of treating time as something that simply ticks away, it turns each minute into a potential moment of delight. The device is part clock, part oracle, with an eco-friendly thermal printer tucked into the top that spits out fortunes, jokes, riddles, or random facts tied to the exact moment you press the button. It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to check the time just to see what happens. Designer: True Angle Click Here to Buy Now: $128 $213 (40% off). Hurry, only a few left! The design is deliberately retro. A boxy, powder-coated aluminum body with rounded edges, a large orange or yellow button on the top, and an e-ink display that looks like a pencil sketch on paper. The screen shows the time and date, the weather for your selected location, and a small prompt inviting you to press print. Five icons along the right edge let you select modes, fortune, fact, joke, riddle, or surprise, each represented by simple graphics. Press the button and the printer whirs to life, a satisfying mechanical sound as the paper slip emerges from the top. At 7:42 in the morning, it might tell you destiny took a coffee break and suggest making your own magic. At 11:15, it could mention your brain runs on about 20 watts, enough to power a dim bulb or a brilliant idea. The messages feel oddly personal because they’re tied to that specific minute. What makes this genuinely charming is how the slips accumulate. They end up on the fridge, tucked into notebooks, or shared with famil...

当然,加州人正在酿造含有水晶的葡萄酒 - Of Course Californians Are Making Wine Charged with Crystal...
Of Course Californians Are Making Wine Charged with Crystals Light some sage, pump the binaural beats, and buckle up for a full sensorial experience with this wild Western wine. Editor’s note: This wine was a limited-run production, and is sadly sold out now. We thought you still might enjoy reading about this slightly out-there but undeniably interesting vintage from a creative Western wine maker. Just when we thought we’d seen every wacky trend the wine world had to offer—Bagums! Cans! (So. Many. Cans.) Bottles aged on the ocean floor!—in comes Crystal Visions, a Cabernet Sauvignon made using a process the winemakers at Tank Garage call “cosmic fermentation.” The fruit for Crystal Visions comes from San Benito County’s Tres Pinos vineyard, and is made utilizing a process where grapes are placed in a fermentation tank with white and rose quartz crystals for 28 days. The crystals that this particular vintage used were washed in the healing waters of Bodega Bay, then charged by the waxing moon in the Sierra Foothills. Because quartz naturally vibrates at an exact frequency and, when pressurized, can produce small volts of electricity, the winemakers believe they add to the vibrancy of the wine. “The Egyptians put amethyst, rubies, and lapis in their goblets of wine. There’s something there,” says Jason Ruppert, the winemaker at Ardure who inspired the project at Tank. “I think we need more energetic value in life right now. And any added vibrancy when you’re making natural wine is good.” Continuing in the vein of wild ideas, the team whole cluster foot-stomped their Cabernet Sauvignon, something that’s not exactly common in Napa Valley, a region now known for its massive, juicy cult Cabs that are often machine harvested, leaving them with a certain sameness that the natural wine movement aims to rebel against. The result is some pretty groovy juice. Crystal Visions is a wild wine that sings with tart and lively red fruit, the fresh herbaceousness of a bouquet garni o...

历史悠久的温泉、烧烤和水晶般的葡萄酒——这个加州小镇应有尽有 - Historic Hot Springs, Bangin’ BBQ, and Crystal-...
Historic Hot Springs, Bangin’ BBQ, and Crystal-Charged Wine—This California Town Has it All Calistoga offers the wellness retreat perfect for a weekender. Tucked at the northernmost end of Napa Valley, Calistoga feels like the last honest outpost in a region that’s otherwise gone full Disneyland. This crunchy little cowboy town still smells faintly of woodsmoke and mineral springs, and the dress code skews more vintage Levi’s than linen suit, making it the perfect spot for a weekender away from the City. Long before the Michelin stars and spa menus, this area drew travelers for its geothermal waters bubbling up from the earth thanks to a volcanic system. These natural wonders gave rise to the region’s first hot spring resorts in the 19th century. And even now, you can feel that same raw, restorative energy. Calistoga keeps its dusty boots planted firmly in the past, but manages to also be a modern-day escape. Here’s how to make a perfect weekender out of your visit. DO Start with a mineral soak or a mud bath at Dr. Wilkinson’s, the town’s OG spa hotel that’s been reimagined with midcentury flair but still retains its unfussy l’esprit du lieu. From there, fill up your water bottle with their fancy Aqua Ovo-filtered water and hit the Oat Hill Mine Trail, a local favorite that winds through chaparral and volcanic rock formations with wide-open views of the valley floor. For something softer, Bothe-Napa Valley State Park offers shaded trails through redwoods and oaks, and even a public swimming pool filled with spring water in summer. Travelers looking for a horse-and-vineyard experience can visit Tamber Bey Vineyards, a working ranch in Calistoga where prized Arabian and mustang horses share space with grapevines, and tastings take place just steps from the stables—a nod to Napa Valley’s equestrian roots. EAT The food scene in this neck of the woods reflects Calistoga’s unpretentious charm. At Dr. Wilkinson’s House of Better, the kitchen leans into healthy comfort food...

特斯拉失去了其最成功的电动汽车背后的项目经理 - Tesla loses program manager behind its most successful ...
Emmanuel Lamacchia, the program manager for Tesla’s Model Y, its best-selling car, announced that he is leaving the automaker. Tesla has now lost two program managers on the same day. Earlier today, we reported that Siddhant Awasthi, head of the Cybertruck program, announced his departure from the company. Now, we learn that another Tesla vehicle program manager is leaving. Emmanuel Lamacchia, who has been in charge of the Model Y program for the last 4 years, announced that he is leaving the company (via LinkedIn): After 8 incredible years, I’m moving on from Tesla. What a journey it’s been… from leading NPI for Model 3 and Model Y variants to becoming the Vehicle Program Manager for Model Y, the best-selling car in the world! Leading the All-New Model Y launch was the highlight: converting all 4 factories across 3 continents in just 2 weeks. Something that had never been done before in the auto industry. Lamacchia had been at Tesla for almost 8 years. He had previously worked for Rolls-Royce engines. Following his and Awasthi’s departure today, Tesla vehicle program leadership has now been completely wiped out over the last year. Daniel Ho, the head of all vehicle programs at Tesla, who is credited with successfully leading Tesla’s first mass-volume vehicle, the Model 3, was reportedly let go as part of Tesla’s massive wave of layoffs last year. He joined Waymo shortly after. David Zhang, Tesla’s second most senior vehicle program manager after Ho, also announced that he was leaving Tesla around the same time Ho joined Waymo. Top comment by Foo Silver One of the downsides of using stock options to retain/hire employees, if the stock goes up a lot they make so much money from their stock options they decide to spend the rest of their limited number of years on earth doing something more fun. Now they could demand $1 BILLION to stay, or $1 TRILLION if really disinclined to keep working for less, but not rational company would pay someone $1 BILLION much less $1 TRIL...

克莱县童子军 123 向地区退伍军人提供免费晚餐 - Clay County Boy Scout Troop 123 honors area veterans ...
By Gary Lee Stuber Veterans in Clay County were once again honored and treated to a free meal for Veterans Day by the local Clay County Boy Scouts Troop 123 on Sunday afternoon on Nov. 9 at the Clay County High School cafeteria. This has become an annual event sponsored primarily by the Boy Scouts of America in Clay. Hours were 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., allowing most veterans to finish church service and attend a great meal on the way home. Dinners were nominally priced for family and friends but veterans ate free. The meal was baked steak and gravy or ham steak (and veterans issued a name tag were offered both). Meal also included mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing and oversize school rolls. The meal also included a drink and a desert. Scouts maned the front table, acted as bus boys, waiters, assisting elderly to tables by carrying cafeteria trays to tables, and cleaned up afterward. Many veterans, particularly war veterans, arrived in uniform and were treated with respect and honor by scouts tending to them. This has become an annual tradition at Clay, always the Sunday afternoon before Veterans Day. The Boy Scouts Troup 123 wanted to thank their supporters who help then to honor Clay County veterans. These sponsors are: Clay County School District, Lizemores Fire Department, Cunningham Motors, Leggs Welding, Pisgha Free Will Baptist Church, Mullin Feed and Seed, and Chapman’s Feed Store. Thanks to these generous sponsors. This has become a tradition in Clay County in November every year. Another tradition coming in the month of December is that many local churches get together and sponsor a free Christmas Dinner at this same high school on a Sunday afternoon just before Christmas. Details forthcoming. The dinner is typically a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings including pumpkin pie. This is offered FREE to all Clay County residents (and family members home for visits). Plan to participate. Local restraunteur Judy Carr of Cool Car’s Dairy Bar in Bickmore...

斯塔克维尔鹰童子军荣获国家最高保护奖 - WCBI - Starkville Eagle Scout recognized with top national ...
Starkville Eagle Scout recognized with top national conservation award STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville Eagle Scout is being recognized with one of the Boy Scouts’ top national conservation honors. Evan Hamby from Troop 14 earned the Distinguished Conservation Service Award, one of only about 80 Scouts nationwide to receive it since the award was created in 2019. Hamby spent three years completing conservation merit badges and leading projects across the area, including improvements to the Woodpecker Trail and installing Wood Duck nesting boxes at Trim Cane Wildlife Management Area. Tonight, he said the award means a lot, and he didn’t earn it alone. “Pretty excited about it, but also that I probably couldn’t have done it without everybody else,” said Hamby. Hamby is also active at Starkville High School, where he participates in multiple clubs, sports, and his church’s youth programs.

InfraPartners 和 JLL 联手加速人工智能数据中心部署并简化运营 - InfraPartners and JLL team up to accel...
LONDON AND CHICAGO, Nov. 18, 2025 – InfraPartners, an international leader in prefabricated AI data center solutions, and JLL, a global real estate and investment management company, announced today a new strategic agreement to fast-track how AI data centers are developed and operated. The new relationship combines InfraPartners’ next-generation prefabricated AI data center solutions with JLL’s global ecosystem and strategic excellence in site selection, project execution and construction oversight, financial structuring and world-class facilities management. Together, the two industry leaders solve one of the most persistent challenges in data center development: delivering projects efficiently after site identification. Investment in AI and data centers is increasing quickly. As a result, new end-to-end delivery models that enable hyperscalers, GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) providers, colocation operators and enterprise clients to deploy scalable, AI-ready infrastructure with greater speed and certainty are critical to meeting surging demand and delivering best-in-class operations. As data center deployments are prone to risks such as labor shortages, project delays and financing complexities, the InfraPartners and JLL strategic partnership will tackle these key issues directly and holistically, accelerating the delivery of AI-ready infrastructure that powers the intelligence economy. “Our clients are asking for faster, lower-risk routes to delivering AI infrastructure” said Michalis Grigoratos, CEO at InfraPartners. “Our prefabricated, upgradeable digital infrastructure integrates seamlessly with JLL’s expertise across the full project lifecycle, so, together we’re focused on providing a superior product that keeps pace with AI infrastructure changes and market growth. Our globally scalable, repeatable approach includes site selection, prefabrication and long-term operations, reducing time-to-first-token and maximizing performance across the lifecycle.” The new model...

Opendoor 2.0能否通过人工智能和自动化重新定义iBuying? - Can Opendoor 2.0 Redefine iBuying Through...
Opendoor Technologies Inc. OPEN is attempting one of the boldest resets in the history of iBuying. Under new CEO Kaz Nejatian, the company is abandoning the slow, consultant-driven operating model that led to deteriorating margins and weak acquisition volumes in early 2025. In its place, Opendoor 2.0 is being rebuilt as a software-first, AI-native real estate platform — a shift that could structurally redefine the economics of iBuying if execution holds. Central to this reinvention is automation. Opendoor has launched more than a dozen AI-powered products in just weeks, including end-to-end AI home scoping, automated title and escrow workflows, multilingual AI valuation agents and a revamped inspection system that feeds standardized video and audio directly into machine-learning models. These tools have already collapsed home assessments from nearly a day to about 10 minutes and reduced the number of employees needed in underwriting flows from as many as 11 to just one. The results are emerging quickly. Weekly acquisition contracts almost doubled between mid-September and late October, accelerating the core flywheel of more inventory, more buyers and better conversion. Management believes this speed, paired with tighter spreads and improved resale velocity, is the path to sustainable unit economics and its goal of adjusted net income breakeven by the end of 2026. Risks remain — including macro housing softness, older low-quality inventory pressuring near-term margins and the challenge of scaling new workflows — but Opendoor’s AI-driven rebuild is the most aggressive transformation the company has undertaken. If successful, Opendoor 2.0 could position the company not just as an iBuyer, but as the first true e-commerce engine for residential real estate. Competitive Context In evaluating whether OPEN can redefine the iBuying industry, two U.S.-listed peers warrant particular attention: Offerpad Solutions, Inc. OPAD and LGI Homes, Inc. LGIH. Offerpad mirrors Opendoor’s...

Waymo 即将进驻另外五个城市 - Waymo is coming to five more cities
Waymo is launching in five new cities across Texas and Florida. Autonomous vehicles in Miami, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Orlando will begin accepting rides next year. The Alphabet-owned company said operations (sans passengers) will begin on Tuesday in Miami. The other cities will follow "over the coming weeks." This phase is where the vehicles drive around town without anyone inside. That gives the company a chance to spot local quirks and adjust the driving algorithm accordingly. Waymo said this local adjustment phase requires fewer changes with each added city. "This data feeds into a flywheel of continuous improvement, bolstered by rigorous validation through real-world driving and advanced simulation, then implemented through regular software releases," it wrote. The company claims its robotaxis are involved in 11 times fewer serious injury accidents than human drivers. Waymo's autonomous vehicles currently accept passengers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Atlanta and Austin. The list of "up next" cities is much longer, including a recently announced expansion into San Diego, Detroit and Las Vegas.
