Keeping up with new music can be exhausting, even impossible. From the weekly album releases to standalone singles dropping on a daily basis, the amount of music is so vast it’s easy for something to slip through the cracks. Even following along with the Uproxx recommendations on a daily basis can be a lot to ask, so every Monday we’re offering up this rundown of the best new music this week. This week saw Charli XCX explore a new era and Jessie Murph expand her beloved latest album. Yeah, it was a great week for new music. Check out the highlights below. Charli XCX — “Chains Of Love” Not only did Charli XCX make some new music for the upcoming Wuthering Heights movie, but she went ahead and made a whole album. Included on it is last week’s “Chains Of Love,” which fans excitedly compared to Charli’s 2013 debut album True Romance. Jessie Murph — “Wildflowers And Wine” Murph provided one of this year’s musical highlights with Sex Hysteria, and last week, she expanded it with a deluxe edition that adds a whopping eight new songs. Also keep an eye out for “a visual companion piece which will serve as an extension of the creative world Jessie has built around Sex Hysteria and her ‘1965’ music video.” Robyn — “Dopamine” New Robyn is a treat, especially when it’s her first single since 2018 (excluding the odd collaboration she pops up on here and there. So, last week was special when Robyn unveiled “Dopamine,” a dance-ready number that thankfully picks up right where she left off. Dominic Fike — “White Keys” “White Keys” was a favorite among Fike’s fans, even though he had forgotten about it himself. He explained, “I had forgot about this song and the internet somehow dug it up for me. it reminded me this was a universe I came from too. ” FKA Twigs — “Predictable Girl” FKA Twigs thought Afterglow would be a deluxe edition of Eusexua. The Z manages to make the SHOX’s iconic column heel look less noticeable and gimmicky. It might miss the point of the SHOX entirely, but we welcome any evolution of the design. In October, Tesla (TSLA) saw its worst sales performance in China in years – down 36% year-over-year. It was its worst month of the year – even worse than when the automaker was transitioning production to the refreshed Model Y. China is the world’s largest EV market and also the most competitive. Tesla has been struggling in the market this year, and October was the worst month yet. After releasing wholesale data (domestic sales plus export) earlier this month, the authorities have now released Tesla’s retail sales in China. The American automaker delivered just over 26,000 electric vehicles in China in October. That’s down 36% compared to the more than 40,000 EVs it delivered during the same period last year. Here are Tesla’s retail sales in China over the last 3 years: Tesla’s sales are down more than 40,000 units year-to-date compared to last year. It means the automaker would need to see two consecutive months of record sales in November and December to avoid its first full-year sales decline in China. Wholesale, which includes the vehicles that Tesla sells in China and those that it builds in China and exports to other markets, is also down 10% year-over-year. If the trend continues, it would mark two consecutive years of Tesla’s wholesale numbers from China being down. Electrek’s Take The worrying part is that EV sales are surging in China (in 2025 as a whole, not in October specifically), yet Tesla is not benefiting from it whatsoever. Tesla has settled another lawsuit involving its Autopilot driver-assist system, which is alleged to have caused a crash. This time, a 2020 Model Y on Autopilot crashed into a stationary police vehicle in Texas. This is Tesla’s fourth known settlement in lawsuits involving Autopilot crashes since losing its first trial earlier this year. The case, James Tran vs. Tesla, Inc., was filed in Harris County, Texas, after an incident on November 15, 2020. According to the lawsuit, James Tran was traveling on the I-10 freeway in his 2020 Model Y with the Autopilot feature engaged. Up ahead on the same road, three Harris County Constable (police) vehicles were blocking several lanes of traffic for a prior accident. Tran’s Model Y, while operating on Autopilot, collided with one of the stationary constables’ vehicles. In his petition, Tran alleged that Tesla’s “Autopilot… system safety features failed to detect” the emergency vehicles or “function in any way to avoid or warn of the hazard”. His lawyers claimed the system had a “failure to warn” about its known “inability to detect emergency cars with flashing lights” and sought over $1 million in damages. As it almost always does, Tesla’s defense centered on blaming the driver. In a March 2024 “No-Evidence” motion, Tesla’s lawyers alleged that Tran had been “gambling and drinking at a casino” before the 2:40 a.m. crash and “dozed off” behind the wheel. From the beginning of the case, Tesla’s legal strategy was to argue that Tran was the “sole cause” of his injuries. By 2024, they argued he had “no evidence” and, crucially, “no experts” to prove Autopilot was at fault. Tesla sought dismissal, but the judge allowed it to proceed, and the case was set for trial on November 11. Despite this aggressive defense, Tesla didn’t let a jury decide the case. Days before the trial was set to start, Tesla’s lawyers quietly filed a “Notice of Settlement” on November 6, 2025. The document simply states that “the parties in the above-captioned...
