特斯拉 Optimus 得到了最新的工作,但它并不在公司的工厂里 - Tesla Optimus gets its latest job, and it’s n...
Tesla Optimus was spotted in its latest job placement, not at any of the company’s manufacturing or production facilities. Optimus was instead spotted in New York City at Times Square, handing out Halloween candy to people: — Will Coggins (@Patient_Profits) October 27, 2025 It is not Tesla Optimus’s first gig in the service industry, as it has already secured several employment opportunities through the company’s projects. Last year, it served drinks at the company’s We, Robot day, where the Cybercab and Robovan were unveiled. Additionally, Optimus has been helping out at the Tesla Diner in Los Angeles, serving popcorn and greeting guests. Optimus has many capabilities, and its applications can benefit both residential and commercial users. It is designed to be an at-home assistant, helping with tedious, monotonous tasks around the house. In a commercial setting, Optimus will be programmed to handle everything from manufacturing to other factory-type tasks, as Tesla has already been using the robot in its own factories for smaller jobs. Optimus has been in development for several years, but Tesla is ready to turn up the heat in terms of its capabilities and engineering as it prepares to launch it to a wider audience in the coming years. During the recent Q3 Earnings Call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave updates on the Optimus project, highlighting its progress and the company’s current development status. Musk said that Tesla is “on the cusp of something really tremendous with Optimus, which I think is likely to be, has the potential to be, the biggest product of all time.” He also mentioned that Tesla is in an interesting position because not only has it established itself as one of the biggest car companies in the country, but it’s the only company that manufactures vehicles and has a monumental grasp of the importance of AI and robotics. “I’m unaware of any robot program by Ford or GM or, you know, by U.S. car companies,” he said. Musk added that Optimus has some pretty...

在北卡罗来纳州夏洛特建造一座祖母房或小房子? - Building a granny flat or tiny house in Charlotte, Nort...
Dive Brief: - Charlotte, N.C., launched a new accessory dwelling unit program offering homeowners up to $80,000 in forgivable, interest-free financing to build an ADU on their property within the city limits. - The Queen City ADU Program, launched in September, requires that participating homeowners rent the ADUs to tenants not earning more than 80% of area median income ($62,850 for a single-person household) and keep monthly rent below the fair market rent for a studio for renters earning 70% of AMI. - The units are “a creative way for homeowners to build wealth via rental income while helping others find affordable housing,” the city said in a press release. Dive Insight: More cities and states are embracing ADUs as one method to address a far-reaching housing affordability crisis. Sometimes called granny flats or tiny houses, ADUs are smaller secondary residences on the same property as a primary residence. They can be an affordable and effective housing option for seniors, retirees, single residents and multigenerational families, according to Charlotte. “These units provide smaller housing options that are currently missing in Charlotte’s housing mix,” the city stated. Home prices in the Charlotte area have surged 72% since 2017, outpacing the national average of 41%, according to the United Way of Greater Charlotte.Only 8% of rentals in the city are considered affordable, it says. To be eligible for the loan, the ADUs must be self-contained units (containing their own kitchen and bathroom) and take up no more than 50% of the primary residence, with a cap of 1,000 square feet for detached units. The program permits only one ADU per lot. The loan is forgiven at a rate of $10,000 per year of affordability for up to eight years, with faster forgiveness available (up to $15,000 per year) if units house housing voucher holders or residents referred by supportive service agencies or the city’s housing partners, according to the city. California in particular has emb...

古尔冈公寓将海岸精神带入城市 - A Gurugram Apartment That Brings Coastal Spirit to the City
Desiring a hint of Goa’s coastal vibes in the city of Gurugram, India, the Spring Breeze Apartment by Aavahsa reimagines urban living through a vacation-inspired lens. Perched high on the 20th floor of Palm Springs Society building, the 3,600-square-foot home captures the essence of a serene getaway without ever leaving the city – its design born from a blend of Japandi and Boho styles. For designers Aanchal Antal and Ranjan Prajapati, the challenge lay in marrying two seemingly opposite sensibilities. Japandi, with its minimalism and grounded palette, along with Boho’s textured charm, required a balance of natural materials and bespoke craftsmanship, along with a focus on the family’s comfort. Instead of wall paneling, the designers relied on furniture silhouettes, natural veneers, and soft textiles to define spaces. Oak grains, woven cane, and bouclé fabrics come together with the help of pastel tones and natural light that pours through the apartment’s expansive windows. The color palette leans into gradients of beige, white, and blush tones, layered with tactile warmth. Honey oak flooring in the bedrooms contrasts with the smooth Bottochino marble of the main living areas, while subtle variations in texture – linen drapes, rattan accents, and curved archways – introduce softness. The design follows Vaastu principles, ensuring spatial balance and energy flow that supports the home’s tranquil aesthetic. The entryway sets the tone with irregular arches that feel sculpted rather than constructed. Decorative artwork punctuates the soft-toned corridor, while a statement Boho pendant light hangs above. In the living and dining areas, tropical wallpaper and a plush off-white bouclé sofa bring coastal charm. A pair of organically shaped coffee tables rest on a black and beige rug, that helps to ground the space. Across the room, the dining nook’s white marble tabletop and oak-cane console cabinet offer a mix of refinement and rusticity. Every surface is chosen to amplify...

特斯拉兑现了湾区打车服务的巨大承诺 - Tesla comes through on huge promise for Bay Area ride-hailin...
Tesla has come through on a huge promise for its Bay Area ride-hailing service just two months after aiming to expand to a new territory. Tesla’s ride-hailing service in the California Bay Area is somewhat similar to what the company is doing with Robotaxi in Austin, Texas. However, regulatory rules and the fact that the company is operating with someone in the driver’s seat —a stark difference from the operation in Austin —have kept the business categorized as a ride-hailing application in California. But Tesla is still breaking barriers down with its service, which operates entirely using the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) platform, as the “Safety Monitors” are only there to ensure safety and take over in the most necessary circumstances. In September, Tesla filed to begin operating its ride-hailing service at various airports in the Bay Area, including San Francisco International Airport, San Jose Mineta International Airport, and Oakland International Airport. It officially came through on that promise last night, as it announced its Bay Area ride-hailing service would now go to San Jose Mineta International Airport: Our Bay Area ride-hailing service now goes to SJC airport ✈️ — Tesla AI (@Tesla_AI) October 27, 2025 The expansion signals a key approval for Tesla to travel to one of the more popular places where people would need or simply want a drop-off. Airports are expensive to park in, so many people utilize ride-hailing services to enable a more economical experience from start to finish. With this approval for SJC, Tesla will likely gain even more approvals for other airports in the Bay Area in the coming weeks or months. While Tesla believes at least half of the U.S. population will have access to the company’s Robotaxi program or its ride-hailing service by the end of the year, the first step will be gaining approval in more metropolitan areas. Tesla is looking to expand to other states, including Nevada, Florida, and Arizona, with its Robotaxi platform ...

如何找到完美的度假公寓 - How to Find the Perfect Apartment for Vacation Rentals
I used to hate renting apartments from websites like Airbnb or VRBO. As a solo traveler, I preferred the social atmosphere of hostels. You met people, hostels ran activities and they were where you were “supposed to stay” as a backpacker. When I did want something other than a hostel, I used a hospitality network liked Couchsurfing or simply stayed with friends. But, after close to two decades as a nomad, there are times when I like my privacy and the ability to “create a home.” I like to cook, want to relax on a couch, and just chill. While apartment rentals often contribute to overtourism (discussed more below), there are still plenty of real hosts out there who are renting places they live in. Below is a detailed guide about how they work, how to pick the perfect apartment, and how not to contribute to overtourism / make locals upset! Table of Contents How Do Apartment Rentals Work? Apartment rental sites allow locals to rent out an individual room, shared space, or entire home/apartment. The host lists their place online, posts photos, writes a description, hits publish, and, presto, they can start to make extra money with the unused space. The booking process is like booking any other type of accommodation online. You search the database, find a place you like, create an account, and request a booking. When the owner accepts, you are sent a confirmation. Apartment rentals represent the space between hostels and hotels. If you are traveling on business and want the comforts of home, you probably aren’t going to stay in a hostel. But hotels may be too expensive or too impersonal for you. A rented apartment is a perfect compromise. Traveling with friends or a big group? This is definitely the option for you. Squeezing a bunch of people into a rental home/apartment will be much cheaper per person than a room in a hostel or hotel. Plus, you get space to spread out and relax. Dorm rooms and cramped hotels don’t give you a lot of “me” time. If you don’t want a full ap...

人工智能初创公司 Mercator.ai 与德克萨斯州承包商一起发展势头 - AI Startup Mercator.ai Builds Momentum Wi...
AI Startup Mercator.ai Builds Momentum With Texas Contractors Share News: As artificial intelligence starts to reshape industries from finance to healthcare, it’s also beginning to reconfigure how Texas contractors find their next big project. Case in point: Mercator.ai. It’s been one year since Mercator.ai expanded into the Lone Star State, and the firm’s business development platform for general contractors is gaining significant traction. Boasting seven of the 10 biggest contractors in Texas as clients, Mercator.ai has been growing by leaps and bounds since it achieved statewide coverage in May of this year. “Over the last basically eight months now, we have generated $12 billion in top-of-funnel early project detection for our general contractors that use our product today,” said company co-founder and CEO Chloe Smith, speaking with CandysDirt.com. The platform uses artificial intelligence to collect real-time data that serve as early indicators of development activity, giving users a heads up on potential projects before formal bidding processes kick into gear. Such indicators include rezoning applications, title transfers, permitting, and site plan submissions, among others. Mercator.ai takes those signals and integrates them to present a picture of the contracting opportunities in a given area, leveraging data points from government portals and industry partners. “Mercator does all of that, but the real power behind it that helps our customers is that not only can we help them detect early project opportunities, but we can also help them know who’s part of those early opportunities,” Smith said. “We’re able to kind of stitch together the relationship network that exists in construction.” Perhaps it won’t be long before the traditional business development strategy of word-of-mouth networking is behind us. According to Smith, Mercator.ai customers are served up reports that can tell them who’s doing what, where, and for how much in their market. “We’re able to...

MIOS 精心雕刻的 3D 打印陶瓷灯 - Meticulously Sculpted, 3D-Printed Ceramic Lamps by MIOS
Rapid additive fabrication – otherwise known as 3D printing – has come into its maturity as of late. The paradigm-shifting technology can now be harnessed in every type of naturally extracted and manufactured material. The limited formal constraints of long-established production techniques like molding have been thrown out the window. Brooklyn-based Ukrainian polymath Renata G., founder of MIOS (Made in Our Studio), has added her voice to this ever-progressing revolution. Tapping into her implicit understanding of materiality – her extensive training in painting and sculpture – she creates bespoke luminaires by modeling and then 3D printing complex structural patterns in ceramic. The sculptural, amorphous forms are then finished using the traditional procedures of glazing and kiln-firing. They are then wired with lighting fixtures. The melding of these seemingly disparate methodologies has led her to formulate a compelling approach all her own; a strategy that doesn’t allow one procedure to supersede the other. Rather, they’re implemented as tools; means to other ends. G’s designs aren’t mere gaudy demonstrations of a new technology but rather transcendent expressions rendered in functional and semi-functional form. For New York-based MIOS, G and her collaborators propagate the New Mid Century aesthetic; riffing on the still pervasive influence of MCM design by introducing the notions of “digital craft, sculptural clarity, and a commitment to process.” Undeniably, this proposition has required a lot of trial and error; experimenting with the inherent properties of porcelain and stoneware and uncovering the unexpected potential of these long-extracted materials. The resulting vessels-like applications challenge the conventions of their nature and application; the commonly held assumption that porcelain is fragile and stoneware is clumsily unrefined. As evident in the UNI Lamp series, ceramics can be channelized into especially intricate and repetitional motifs – alm...

The Boring Company 的自动驾驶特斯拉以平稳、免提的驾驶方式给乘客留下了深刻的印象 - The Boring Company’s self-dr...
Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system is making waves underground. Passengers who recently rode in The Boring Company’s Las Vegas Loop described the experience as “way smoother than a human driving,” with no manual input from a driver at all. The electric vehicles, which currently shuttle visitors between key destinations on the Strip, could soon extend service all the way to the airport. Controlled FSD testing In late August, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority CEO Steve Hill stated that Tesla’s FSD-equipped vehicles have been undergoing testing in the Boring Company tunnels for several months. These tests are conducted under strict supervision and have not involved regular passengers until recently. Recent comments about the Boring Company’s driverless Teslas were shared on X by @alifarhat6_ali, who was able to try out the service for himself. As per the Tesla enthusiast, FSD drives much smoother than human drivers inside the Boring Company Las Vegas tunnels. The safety monitor also reportedly noted that the service should soon expand to the airport. “I rode in the new self driving Tesla in the Las Vegas Loop! It was WAY smoother than a human driving in the Loop. Zero human input. It wasn’t busy so he let us ride back as well. Driver said they soon will be giving rides all the way to the airport. We are in the future,” the X user wrote in a post. Elon Musk hints at fully driverless Teslas Earlier this month, Elon Musk posted on X that “The Tesla cars operating in The Boring Company tunnels under Las Vegas will be driverless in a month or two.” This suggests that the Boring Company tunnels in Las Vegas may end up being one of the first locations where actual driverless Teslas will be serving regular customers. In a way, the deployment of fully driverless Teslas could be perfect for the Las Vegas tunnels. The underground environment should be ideal for Tesla’s autonomous software as it offers predictable routes and traffic, minimal external hazards, and sta...

孟菲斯将使用 xAI 税来改善社区:“真是一件幸事” - Memphis to use xAI taxes for neighborhood improveme...
The City of Memphis has collected all taxes owed by Elon Musk’s xAI before the payment deadline, creating a $3.2 million special revenue fund to support communities affected by the company’s operations. City officials confirmed that the funds will be reinvested in local neighborhoods near xAI’s Colossus supercomputer. Directing xAI funds toward community projects Mayor Paul Young’s administration recently outlined how the funds will be allocated. The initiative was focused on improving infrastructure and quality of life in neighborhoods impacted by xAI’s construction and operations. Councilwoman Yolanda Cooper-Sutton emphasized that the process will include public input, with surveys already distributed to residents to guide spending priorities, according to ABC24. “With that ordinance, we are in the near future getting ready to set up the committee because this is the people’s money,” Cooper-Sutton said. “We wanna make sure that it is used for the people.” Officials noted that they are planning to present a final proposal to the entire council after reviewing community feedback. Cooper-Sutton added that the program represents a step toward ensuring businesses operating in Memphis treat residents “fairly and with equality.” “It is truly, truly a blessing. What we are doing here at this body and this council, we wanna make sure that whatever business that comes here, that the people are treated fairly and with equality,” she stated. xAI partnership fuels local job opportunities Beyond tax revenue, xAI’s growing presence is expected to bolster Memphis’ workforce development goals. Earlier this month, the artificial intelligence startup co-hosted a job fair at Crosstown Concourse with the American Job Center to connect residents with new employment pathways. “We know that jobs are coming. We know that talent is here,” Melody Freemon, executive director of the Greater Memphis Workforce Development Board, stated. “We wanna make sure we’re not just putting people in any o...

特斯拉正在加大对 Cybercab 汽车制造岗位的招聘力度 - Tesla is ramping its hiring for Cybercab vehic...
Tesla is accelerating preparations for its upcoming Cybercab by rapidly expanding its hiring efforts in Austin, Texas. A check of the company’s Careers website shows 30 open positions tied to the Cybercab project, with 25 focused directly on vehicle manufacturing. The spike in listings suggests that Tesla may be gearing up for a production ramp of its fully autonomous two-seater at Giga Texas. New Cybercab job listings Tesla’s Careers page now features several new roles that appear crucial to the Cybercab’s buildout. Among the most recent additions are openings for Engineering Technicians for the Cybercab’s drive units, battery pack, and general assembly, as well as positions for Equipment Technicians for the vehicle’s production lines. Earlier this month, Tesla only had three openings related to the autonomous two-seater’s manufacturing. Even then, it was already exciting as the Cybercab would be produced using Tesla’s “Unboxed” manufacturing process. This process is designed to make the Cybercab easier and quicker to produce. Similar to previous Cybercab-related job listings, all of the openings are currently based in Austin, Texas. This suggests that for now, at least, the production of the Cybercab will really be focused on Giga Texas to start. Ultra-fast Cybercab production targets Tesla CEO Elon Musk has described the Cybercab as the company’s highest-volume vehicle yet, targeting an annual production rate of around 2 million units. He added that the Cybercab line will operate more like a “high-speed consumer electronics” assembly process than a conventional car factory. “If you’ve seen the design of the Cybercab line, it doesn’t look like a normal car manufacturing line,” Musk said earlier this year. “It looks like a really high-speed consumer electronics line. In fact, the line will move so fast that actually people can’t even get close to it.” Elon Musk just roasted Sam Altman’s Tesla Roadster cancellation “And you forgot to mention act 4, where this issue ...

里程碑成就:越南退伍军人庆祝担任童子军队长 50 周年 - Milestone achievement: Vietnam Veteran celebrates ...
Milestone achievement: Vietnam Veteran celebrates 50 years as scoutmaster Vietnam Veteran celebrates 50 years as scoutmaster BEVERLY-WATERFORD — Vietnam veteran Daryl Van Dyne celebrated his 50th year as a Scoutmaster of the Waterford Boy Scout Troop 222 on Saturday. Surrounded by family and friends at the Beverly-Waterford Township Rescue Squad building, Daryl shared his memories and his passion for Scouting. “It got to be more than my hobby, it became my life,” said Daryl. Daryl filled the temporary Scoutmaster position for Troop 222 in 1975. He said the Scoutmaster at the time had resigned and he decided to give it a try. What was supposed to be a temporary position began his lifelong passion for Scouting. “On average, most Scoutmasters stay for about five years,” he said. “But here I am 50 years later!” In 1963, he was cut from the junior high basketball team at Waterford. After being cut from the team, his father suggested he try Scouting. Daryl became increasingly more involved with Scouting and found that he loved spending time outdoors and with others. “What do you have to do to be a Scout? You need to love the Boy Scout program, you need to love the outdoors, and you need the mind of a twelve-year-old, and boy do I have that,” he said. He wanted to thank his wife Karen and his daughter Desiree for their support over the years while they were at home and he was away in the wilderness. “I’ve seen him give a lot of time to this over the years and it’s something he really believes in,” said Desiree Van Dyne. She said she has two boys who will be joining Boy Scouts once they’re old enough. “It’s a place where everyone belongs and can come join to learn life skills and things they can use into adulthood,” she said. Desiree was among the many family members who had attended the afternoon celebration for Daryl. Troop 222 Committee Chairman Bill Young joined the Scouts around 1978-79 with Daryl as his Scoutmaster. He said he learned a lot from him over the years of ...
